The Fifth Wave Review

Hello, This is a review on The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey. This book is about a girl named Cassie that lives in a world where aliens are taking over the world.

I'm just going to start of with how much this book mind blows me. Every single chapter in this book keeps me on edge. The plot just moves at a really nice and fast pace there were never any boring parts. The sub-plot in the story are also really smart. The author does a fantastic job of weaving the sub-plots into the main plot. I was quite skeptical of reading this because the only book that I have ever read with aliens in it was War of the Worlds and I didn't really like it. This made me worried about reading this book but I was proved wrong.

I really loved the characters. My personal favourite is Ringer and Cassie I loved them so much. They are both so badass. I really enjoyed that all of the girls in this novel had a lot of depth and not just there for a love interest. Moving on to the boys I only really loved Ben I found him so funny he was definitely the light in this story for me. I'm having trouble liking Evan. I just didn't trust him at all during this story but as I started reading the second book I'm starting to warm up to him.

Overall, I really recommend this book. It is very thrilling, funny, dark and very very mysterious. I really did love it. I recently found out it was going to be a movie and I'm so excited. I just looked at the casting and they are amazing.

Thanks so much for reading. If you enjoyed this blog post please leave comment or become member to my blog. It would truly mean a lot. Thanks so much. My next post will be up on Wednesday and it will be a haul. Thanks.
